So you may know I have a feral cat that has been living under my bed, pissing and puking on my stuff for going on 6 years now. Well she did something last week that was unforgivable, no it wasn't puking on my book she already did that a year ago. No it was not pissing on my side of the bed that was two years ago.
She urinated on oceanedge's laptop, at least it wasn't the new netbook, or else she would have dreamed of being kicked out.
Last wednesday after I got home from work, we locked the boys up and opened the back door and walked her out. You must remember that we have a feral colony outside Dexter's parents. And it appears that Mommy cat or Emma is kicking Circe's butt. We have only seen Circe a few times. Today we saw her in the front yard and I put some wet food out. Amir ran to the window but didn't say anything...

I have been sewing and painting and such but not a lot of knitting which is bad because I have a sweater on the needles and my brothers bag that should be done sooon- it is a little boring just stockenette. But I had to cast on something else night before last.
flip flop socks they are so cute and I hope to have them done today! if i get off my computer and go knit.
Seattle has been bloody hot for the last 10 day or so - thursday it finally broke a little still warm but not 80. I forget how much I love spring up here when san diego has june gloom we have glorious days.

Well my sister in law had surgery thurday and she's fine and wednesday my brother is getting surgery. So if  you could keep everyone in your thoughts and prayers i would appreciate it. thanks

So what I have done this last week.

Last thursday Shawna and I started the yarn crawl and hit 11 or 12 stores. I worked friday. David and I went to a great sushi joint in Renton.
Then we saw star trek - it was awesome.
Saturday morning I picked up a Prius at SEATAC and Shawna and I finished the south sound yarn crawl and two store on the north, including a great ferry ride.
Sunday we finished the northsound with Tana in tow- and got home by 3pm.
Prius 9 gallons of gas 362.5 miles, yippee well worth the rental price....(well kind of, but at least I dont feel guilty for the dinos we used.)
Monday I went to work and David went upstairs to work with Albert via web programs. Three kids broke our back kitchen window, let themselves in and stole david laptop off the couch and was working on my xbox in the guest bedroom. When David walked in on them. He chased them out of the house and down the street.  Apparently there were many break ins in the neighborhood so they borrowed sherifs from renton and caught a few kids... Tomorrow David goes and sees if he can ID some of the punks. Good news we have the money to fix the window if we decide not to have insurance pay for it. Good news is David is fine. Good news is that Dexter who was missing for hours was upstairs under my bed. Good news is that we had a group of friends come over and help hang the cool wood window, drink champagne, and then mojitos, and smudge ( ritually clean my house).

I really can't cheap with my no dairy diet, I shouldn't have eaten from the taco shop, and certainly don't do it two days before you are to fligh. I had a little Parmesan cheese yesterday, ate a little milk chocolate, and had tacos from a roach coach yesterday.... All or just one of these things has caused me to wake up puking. and to continue puking every 2 hours, can i tell you that splenda in tea does not taste good coming back.

Are due up here in 4 days, and my MIL sends fear in my heart, she is a very critical person, and I hardly ever meet expectations. No matter what I do or think to myself it effects me. David and I have planned to get new storage for the bedroom any way and the thought of my MIL looking into my room sends shivers down my spine. So Saturday morning we went to Ikea a planned out the new bedroom wall. It was gorgeous! Sunday morning we went back to purchase all the parts. We pulled the old Ikea dressers out and remeasured and realized that we had more room... So back to Ikea (thankfully it is less the 8 miles) for the 3rd time and score by getting the smaller piece for 1/2 price in the as is room. We also got a shelve in as is too that they were out of in the main warehouse. WE get home and then we realize that the cabinets are either 2 inches too high or the ceiling is 2 inches too low. Either way back to Ikea for the shorter cabinets, not what I wanted but better than nothing....

However Nothing is what I got- they are out of the cabinets! Not due back for 7-14 days.
Oh except the smaller cabinet that we bought in the as is which david will be cutting down to make fit because it's not returnable.

But I did get a cart full no I'm not exsagerating a cart full of fabric for $10!

Oh and to top it off it's snowing again!

My brother and Aunt flight got canceled yesterday, and after 6 hours of busy signals on the Alaskan air phone line we finally got them a flight up here Christmas morning...
Well here are the positive things, I can make up all the family dishes piergoies both potato and mushroom ahead of time, I can finish cleaning the house and maybe even finish some christmas presents, before christmas...
So Im going to get off the computer and get knitting, then maybe some peeling - potatoes.....

So today I got david's second and last big present in the mail at work, a digital book, he alreadys know he is getting it.... His friend from australia, his wife and two children are here, the poor children had a huge allergic reaction to the cats. Ryan's wife is an awesome cook and made a huge batch of curry! Im in love! I have the best lunch for tomorrow. My cats are tormented, and Circe has conjuntivitis, so If I can I'm suppose to treat twice a day... yippee.... but best of all my violin came in the mail. It was too late to play with it because I have to set the bridge, and resin the bow two things I have no idea how to do other then by reading the little sheet of paper that came in the box the seller sent.... Besides one of the kids was aready asleep and the sound of someone strangling a cat might be disturbing . :)

So as you may all know Im married to a geek, this comes with benefits, it make my house what people call "early adopters". People that will buy the new toys the second they are out on the market. I preordered my first generation zune so that I would have it in time to have it to take to Star wars convention, I (and oceanedge) thought that it would be the end-all to our toys. We already had been recording our tv via our computer for 3-4 years on a MS system. I had hoped that I would be able to watch some of my tv programs on the flight, it didn't -it took another update before I could do that. Now MS and my local library system is now finally made my zune everything I wanted it to be. I can now finally "borrow" audio library books and listen them to on my zune. I listen to popular books that I would not normally have time to read, and have found some really enjoyable ones - the last one, twilight, I fell in love with and the good news is I "read" it just in time to see the movie last night. Now I m listening to eragon.

My step mother died yesterday morning, god bless her, in her sleep. She had lung cancer that turned to her brain. I saw her 2 weeks ago. I said I would send pictures and I hadn't got to it yet...
I want my husband to stop smoking
I want to do things on time
I want to have children, and not die without a genetic legacy like she did
I want people I care about to stop dying.

Day 3 of our Road trip

So we woke up the Sol Duc campground and planned to spend some time at the hot springs, the night before we noticed that they have a little restaurant so we stopped in a had a pretty good buffet breakfast. At that time, mind you it was labor day monday, that we were very much surrounded by europeans. Not that there weren't any americans or japanese. But I had forgotten how eastern europeans like their hot springs... We payed our pass, rent towels- as we didn't pack any, and changed and walked in to be surprised by nice tiled pools. OceanEdge and I knew that the hot springs off the 90 were a little more rugged - read that you hike two miles and climb over rocks to sit in a dirt/ rock pool but we weren't exactly expecting pools. It was nice the day was clean the water warm, sulfur smelling and not a lot of people. We Left around noon, when they start closing each pool for testing, you know no chemical, must check for bacteria levels....
We drove north again and then south to the HOH rainforest, walked a small trail in the rainforest. I have always collect patches, I have a hundred or so from the grandparents and so went into the store at the park and we bought a cool book with a flip out map we could have used days before. As we were being rung out the lady told us the ranger standing next to her had a picture in the book I asked him if he would sign it. He did and his name was ....  Off we drove to the coast line again. More rock gathering I ran across a stream and got soaked. We set up camp down the street from Ruby beach. Got a great campsite at the Kalaloch campgrounds, and even went to a great little lecture. I always love the lectures we went to one while we were in the grand canyon and it was fun. This one was too, specially after the stupid girl from spokane relized that she really didn't know anything about Tsunami and left the lecture to the professional. On the way back to our campsite that night we watch a older couple walk their 3 dog on leashes and 1 cat not on a leash around the camp site.

It was sunday morning but we had not packed any breakfast stuff or coffee... that must be fixed next trip. So we drove around Port Townsend to find a breakfast joint 2 trips around and we settled at a Macadoo's Barbecue food was good french toast was great just not enough coffee to go around, I had enough but almost hopped up to help the wait staff make enough for the others... We took off and drove west through Sequim,  and stopped briefly in Port Angeles, to a few pictures and kept west. This is were I learned that birds use twigs to build their nests but Eagles use branches nay tree limbs... No not one damn photo of it I even pulled over on the side of the road and made David wait for them to come back again and I missed the photo. David wouldn't let me stay more so off we went. To Neah Bay. This is part of the Makah indian tribe and and has some beautiful stack islands. This is when little parts of land breaks off from the mainland. They are gorgeous and found all over the coast. We went to Cape Flattery which is the most North west point of the continental US. From there we drove back to the 101 stopped and made a sandwich. I found out that there was a hot spring 'near' by so we headed towards that. Sol Duc hot springs is a natural hot springs that has a little resort built around, there we camped. We were a little late that night as they closed at 9 and we set up camp around 8:30 we went to the store there bought wine and firewood. And had a camp dinner (read that freeze dried spaghetti) and wine. That night we had a guitarist, in a neighboring site, again music to watch the stars by.

Day one of our road trip

We didn't pack up until Saturday morning which included some house cleaning so the cat sitter could find stuff. I unplugged the high tech camera battery, folded laundry etc. etc. And was we finished packing our backpacks (just in case we wanted to hike) we went looking for the battery... 2 fucking hours later we got on the road- 3pm. We drove to Edmonds and caught the ferry to Kingston and drove north passed over the Hood Canal Floating bridge. We kept moving north to Port Townsend, a great little town, who just happen to have a last of the summer street fair. As we drove into town we passed a Drive in theater, I could not resist it. They had Dark knight and Mummy 3 playing that night.  So we walked around town a little,  found a local brew pub, with live music outside, and had dinner. We need to find a place to sleep, we drove around and found a campsite that was just down the street from the theater, asked what time they closed the gates, as the park that you had to drive through did have locking gates, and the delightful lady commented that the gates never close. So off to the drive in, we had full tummies due to the pub, and out of respect for the theater we hide out cooler at the campsite. As we were driving out we heard a violinist... There is something about that instrument that haunts me. I regret we couldn't stick around and listen more.
The Drive in was wonderful! The view was beautiful, the movies good the guy running the projector was funny....
David's favorite line was outside food and drink is ok. However alcohol is not, 'read between the line' we will not search your cars, just don't take any cans or bottles outside your vehicle.
The dark knight was very good, but the mummy not so much and besides that fact it was midnight when it started, we both fell asleep. The night was clear and the stars fantastic.
We drove to the camp and slept well that night. Next entry day two.....
